Nuclear power mythbusting, the future of Extended Reality, information as the fifth form of matter, and how satellite imagery can help save lives and fight crime are some of the global challenges addressed in the new series of the University of Portsmouth podcast Life Solved, which returned this Autumn.
In each weekly episode, researchers talk in-depth about the work they’re doing and how new ideas and innovations are changing everyday life for the many.
With the ideas unpacked in straight-talking chat, Life Solved is set to spark conversation for curious thinkers and those who like to be in the know on the latest innovations in technology, medicine, the environment, social theory and beyond.
Research at the University of Portsmouth was rated as world-leading in the latest national assessment of the quality and impact of research in UK universities and is home to several high-profile innovation hubs, which feature in series 9, including the Centre for Creative and Immersive Extended Reality (CCIXR), Revolution Plastics, and the Research Group in Breast Health.

Life Solved continues on Thursday (29 September) with a special episode, where we chat to some of the brilliant minds featured in the new edition of SOLVE. The magazine shares in-depth articles and research highlights from across campus.
